MTA Fran & Jim Buell Scholarship
The Montana Trappers
Association Fran and Jim Buell Scholarship offers one (1) $2,000 scholarship
for any MTA member who intends to further their
education at any college or university of
their choice. These scholarships are awarded
annually and membership in the MTA
MUST be current.
Scholarship applications can be filled out online or by mail at the links below. The scholarship will be awarded June 1 of the current year. Members and their children are encouraged to contact their Director, Officer or Committee member for further information or assistance. Those MTA members out of state and their families are eligible to apply as well as in state.
To provide a scholarship for $2,000 to a graduating senior or continuing undergraduate study or Maters program intending to pursue a degree in Furbearer or Wildlife Management, Natural Resources or other life science major or related field.
Applicant must submit the following items:
NOTE: Scholarship funds will be awarded to the student upon evidence of registration in a program of study.
The Montana Trappers Association is a non-profit organization of concerned and active conservationists who promote proper management of Montana's furbearers, who develop proper predator control, maintain a positive public image and help perpetuate quality habitat.
